Making everything work at Temple Shalom of the South Bay is a study in cooperation. From our beginings in our members' living rooms to the rapidly growing community we are now, with hundreds of community members, we have thrived only with the extraordinary efforts of volunteers. Whether it be through committee membership, project involvement, leadership in specific areas or just helping out (have you ever stopped to help us put away chairs after religious school on Mondays?) we need your help. It is as easy or as complicated as you want it to be. Interested? Here are some specific needs that we have:

SOUND PERSON - Always wanted to hit the road with the Rolling Stones but somehow things like law school, starting a family and the disapproval of your mother got in your way?  Well, here is the next best thing. We are in need of someone to run our PA system for Friday night services.  This is a monthly gig at the present time with roughly a 2.5 hour time commitment for set-up, service and take-down.  A volunteer who wants to look great in the eyes of G_d is preferred, but we might be able to spare some shekels for the right candidate. PHOTOGRAPHER - We need one or several people to take pictures of our various events, from school to Shabbat services to special events, and to send them to the webmaster. You don't have to be a professional!!! Please contact Ellen George at sheila@shalomsb.org if you can help out.
